Understanding the Alerts Page: Red Alert vs. Dismiss
When something concerning is detected, it will appear on your Alerts page inside the Uncompromized dashboard. This page is designed to help you quickly understand what's informational and what might require action.
Let’s break it down.
Two Columns: “Dismiss” and “Red Alert”
| Column | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Dismiss | Tap this when you've reviewed the alert and don't need to take any action. |
| Red Alert | Use this when the alert is serious or suspicious, and you need help. It triggers a callback from our support team. |
Grayed out "Red Alert" checkbox = Informational Only
Some alerts are purely informational, meaning your information was found in a public breach or data dump—but no direct action is needed or can be performed. In these cases:
The Red Alert checkbox will be grayed out
You can still click Dismiss after reviewing the alert
Example:
Your email was found in a dark web dump from a past breach (like the Equifax or Adobe hack)
There’s not much to do except:
Change your password at that breached service (if it’s still active)
Avoid reusing that password on other accounts
Stay alert for suspicious emails or phishing attempts
Don’t worry—you’re still covered by your $1,000,000 identity theft protection through Uncompromized.
Active "Red Alert" = Take Action Now
If an alert could indicate active fraud or unauthorized activity, the Red Alert box will be clickable.
Example:
You receive an alert that a new account was opened at Wells Fargo, but you didn’t open it.
That’s a red flag.
✅ Click the Red Alert checkbox to notify us.
You’ll receive a callback shortly from a certified Uncompromized agent to begin the investigation and resolution process.
What Should You Do When You Get an Alert?
Read the alert carefully. See if it’s a known breach or suspicious new activity.
If it’s just informational, consider changing your password—then hit Dismiss.
If it looks suspicious, click Red Alert and wait for our team to contact you.
Don’t ignore alerts, even if they seem small. Staying informed is your first line of defense.
Remember: You’re Covered
Every user is backed by our $1,000,000 identity theft protection policy, even if the alert comes from old data that’s been circulating online for years.
You’re no longer flying blind. You’re Uncompromized.
